Multi-source corroboration: the same fact in more than one serious place
Answer engines trust a fact more easily when independent pages agree. Corroboration is earned by being citeable, not by cloning your own paragraph.
Corroborate important facts on independent pages that agree with a clear page of your own.
Identify the facts that need a second witness
Your name, your service boundary, and any original statistic should appear on your site and, where possible, on a partner, directory, or publication that is not a copy of your homepage.
Five pages on your own domain repeating one sentence are not corroboration. They are duplicates.
Make the external mention specific
A partner page that explains why it uses your method, with a link, corroborates more than a logo farm. Offer the fact and the URL. Let the other editor write the sentence.
Correct third parties that state a different city or service. Disagreement is negative corroboration: it teaches the model that the entity is unstable.
- Independent pages, not self-clones.
- Specific mentions with a link.
- Fix contradictory bios.
Keep your page the earliest clear source
Publish the fact on your URL first, with the method. Then the corroborating mention has something to point at. Reversing the order leaves the external page as the only source.
Review the set when the fact changes so the witnesses do not keep swearing to the old version.
Questions
Does repeating a fact on your own blog count as corroboration?
Not really. Independent sources that describe the same fact are what reduce ambiguity. Your site should still be the canonical statement.
Should you pay for corroborating mentions?
Paid placements that exist only to repeat a claim are a poor trail and can look manipulative. A genuine partner explanation is different from a rented sentence.
