Hong Kong district landing pages: publish a district only when it changes the job
District pages fail when they swap ‘Central’ for ‘Tsuen Wan’ in the same paragraph. They work when access, language, or proof really differs.
A district page earns its URL by recording a difference a customer in that place would recognise.
Start from a district you can speak about
Name the practical difference: a building type, a walk from an MTR exit, a bilingual counter, a constraint on delivery. If the sentence works for any district, it is not local content.
Customers search by neighbourhood, estate, and line. Use the name they use, and explain the coverage in the same terms your staff would use on the phone.
Show proof that belongs to the place
A project, a photo of the street context, or a note about hours for that branch is proof. A stock skyline is not. Do not imply you have an office in a district where you only occasionally take a job.
Link the district page to the service it supports and to the branch profile if one exists. Three versions of the address are two too many.
- One real local constraint.
- Proof from that district or an honest service-area statement.
- Internal links to the parent service.
Prune the districts you added for coverage theatre
If analytics shows a district page with impressions only for the swapped name and no engagement, merge it into the service-area page. Redirect the URL.
Keep the districts where enquiries actually come from and where you can keep the facts updated.
Questions
How many Hong Kong district pages should a small business have?
As many as have a real difference and real demand. For many firms that is one or two branch pages plus a service-area note, not all eighteen districts.
Can district pages mention nearby areas?
Yes, when you truly cover them and say so. Mentioning every neighbouring district in a keyword list is not the same thing.
