Entity SEO: make the organisation unambiguous

Entity SEO is the work of describing one organisation so consistently that search and answer systems do not merge it with a namesake.

Entity SEO is consistency: one name, one description, one home, repeated until the ambiguity disappears.

Write a single description and reuse it

Choose the name, the one-sentence description, the location, and the services you actually sell. Use that set on the about page, the footer, the organisation schema, and the profiles you control.

A different slogan on every page is fine for campaigns. A different legal name, city, or service list is not. Entities break when the facts disagree.

Disambiguate with stable identifiers

Link the about page to official profiles with sameAs. Use the same logo URL and the same domain. If a parent company publishes the site, say so in a sentence a stranger can understand.

Avoid stuffing the description with every district you can serve. A clear home and a clear service area are easier to resolve than a paragraph of place names.

  • One preferred name.
  • One about URL.
  • Same facts on profiles you control.

Test the entity the way a stranger would

Search the name alone and the name plus Hong Kong. If a different company dominates, you need a clearer disambiguator in the title and the about page, not more mentions of generic keywords.

Ask an answer engine who you are. If it confuses you with another firm, correct the public facts before you add more content.

Questions

Does entity SEO require a knowledge panel?

No. A knowledge panel is one outcome. The underlying work is a consistent public description, which helps ordinary search and AI answers even without a panel.

Should the brand name be repeated in every paragraph?

No. Repeat the facts that identify you on the pages that introduce you. Mechanical repetition does not make the entity clearer.
